  • Kait Boyle and Kurt Refsnider have pedaled through landscapes on nearly every continent, but the terrain in the remote backcountry of the western United States will always top their list. • Can the Arizona Trail Withstand Climate Change?

  • What is the BOLT Act?
The “Biking on Long-distance Trails” Act is federal legislation that would result in the identification of potential new long-distance bike trails on federally managed lands.

  • What if one of your favorite trails had a voice? What would it say? What story would it tell? "Along the Swan" shares story of the unbelievably stunning Alpine Trail #7 in northern Montana and the dedication of a small group of mountain bikers who want to ensure the backcountry trail continues to be passable, a goal borne out of a shared vision of being able to ride the full length of the 75-mile range-crest trail in a single day.

  • In the face of record heat, one city’s mountain bikers go fully nocturnal. The summer of 2023 was the hottest on record for Phoenix, Arizona, with a daily average temperature of 97 degrees Fahrenheit for all of June, July and August and a total of 55 days with highs of at least 110 degrees. In such conditions, getting out on the trails isn't just uncomfortable; it can be downright deadly.

  • Temporary Records In A Timeless Place.

Two of Ultra-Endurance Mountain Biking’s best seek temporary records in a timeless place. Traversing 137 miles of majestic high-desert, the Kokopelli Trail is one of the most iconic long mountain bike routes in the West. Wrought with as much challenge as beauty, the rugged Kokopelli provides passage from Moab Utah’s La Sal Mountains to Loma, Colorado.
